Dear Tennessee Simulation Alliance Members,
Good afternoon! I hope this message finds each of you well and thriving in your simulation work across our great state.
As we look toward a new year of collaboration, I’m excited about the many opportunities ahead for the Tennessee Simulation Alliance. Over the past several months, we’ve been reflecting on how to elevate our offerings and strengthen the ways we connect as a community. This period has given us valuable insight into how we can better support you and expand the impact of simulation across Tennessee.
One of the most exciting developments is our return to free membership. We believe this will open the door for wider participation, ensuring that professionals from all settings and disciplines can engage with the Alliance without barriers. In addition, we are working closely with our TSA website team and the Tennessee Hospital Association to align and update our membership lists, helping us communicate more effectively and keep everyone connected.
We also hope to strengthen our website as a hub for problem solving—a space where members can bring challenges, share solutions, and learn from one another. In the same spirit, we aim to serve as a central place to share and advertise simulation-related job opportunities, supporting both those seeking new roles and institutions looking for talented simulation professionals.
Looking ahead, we are thrilled to bring to you again our in-person conference. Building on the success and energy of our "SimCon" in March 2025 event, we look forward to offering even more opportunities for hands-on learning, collaboration, and networking. The in-person conference continues to be one of our most impactful ways to connect, and we are eager to see it grow. Note that there is a date and a location change: Saturday May 16, 2026 at my home - Lee University!
I am truly optimistic about the path forward. Our Alliance is filled with talented, passionate professionals who are shaping the future of healthcare simulation in Tennessee. It is an honor to serve as your president, and I am grateful for the innovation, dedication, and enthusiasm you bring to this community.

Warm regards,
Shannon McBrayer, MSN, RN, CHSE
President, Tennessee Simulation Alliance
